#9972 closed defect (invalid)

combobox "invalidMessage" not changing

I am trying to change the invalidMessage of a comboBox but it will not change from the default message "The value entered is not valid". I can see that the variable invalidMessage has changed but it just displays the default value. Is this a bug or is it just not possible?

var typeSelector = dijit.byId("editTermType_"+id);// Combobox
typeSelector.attr("invalidMessage","Value must be an Integer");

Test case?

ComboBox's generally don't display an invalid message, since any input is allowed. So I tried it on FilteringSelect, running test_FilteringSelect.html and running

dijit.byId('setvaluetest').attr('invalidMessage', 'hello world');

from the firebut console. It works fine.
