#979 closed defect (worksforme)

setURL(): JavaScript warnings on long page-loads.

Description

On pages that take a slightly longer time to load, setURL() can cause the browser to display javascript warning dialogs.

I think this also ties in with the following:

It would be nice to be able to set a content pane to write out the content it retrieves as it is recieving it. Consequently, when thinking of making an interface similar to google's chat where the connection doesn't get closed, setURLed content panes would never end up showing anything...

I think this is referring to the ContentPane? widget? Is this still relevant?

Well I tried to fetch a 1 min delayed page of 1Mb size without any warnings. If I have ~400 widgets in that content it's not fast but you could live with it.

Hopefully nobody will fetch such a big page, If they do they missed the point of ajax in my opinion.

So I dont think its relevant anymore.
