#9270 closed defect (fixed)

dojo-release-1.3.1-docs.tar.gz not available

Reported by: Josh Trutwin Owned by: dante
Priority: high Milestone: 1.4
Component: Documentation Version: 1.3.0
Keywords: docs tarball Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:

Description

Not sure if this is an oversight or intentional but the 1.3.1 download page does not list a tarball for downloading the docs. I'm guessing these should be made available for every point release to address documentation bugs?

Compare: http://download.dojotoolkit.org/release-1.3.1/ to http://download.dojotoolkit.org/release-1.3.0

Thanks!

might need to be part of the release script as well, if we're planning on keeping this

we don't change features or docs in the dots, so we should likely just copy the tarball from 1.3.0 and use it. in 1.4.0 I'll name the tarball/zip 1.4.x-docs and copy manually.

This is also true of 1.3.2:

http://download.dojotoolkit.org/release-1.3.2/

No download for docs.

I notice that a tarball for 1.3.2 docs has been added, but if you untar it, it's going into a dojo-release-1.3.1/docs dir - not 1.3.2

Yep. It should be changed to 1.3.x or just 1.3 . They don't add new anything

As a dojo consumer I think it makes most sense to have the 1.3.2 docs tarball install into dojo-release-1.3.2/docs instead of dojo-release-1.3/docs as I will have that directory already from downloading other tarballs for the release - otherwise something else entirely such as maybe just dojo-docs
