#8587 closed defect (invalid)

impact between Form and multi-ContentPane within a StackContainer

Reported by: helloworld Owned by:

Description

A test case here:

A StackContainer? with two ContentPanes?, and the first ContentPane? has a dijig.form.Form.

In IE6(mine is 6.0.26, SP V4), a invalid pointer error.

Of course, no error with FF3.

if you comments out the second ContentPane?

or

comments out the "<form dojoType="dijit.form.Form" action="" method="GET">" and "</form>"

Then everything is OK.

There are a number of errors in your test case:

  • you mistyped the closing tag as </from> instead of </form>
  • you need to either specify a size on the StackContainer, or set doLayout=false
  • as per #8424 you should use a <div> tag to declare a form node for problems with IE

When all those things are changed it works fine in IE.
