Description

Browser: Firefox 3.0.1 OS: XP Service Pack 2

I am using Dojo DataGrid? 1.2.3. When scrolling up and the grid pages the data, the current top record jumps to a new position, sometimes off the screen. You can see this in the examples on SitePen? (http://www.sitepen.com/labs/code/grid/new_grid_features/border_container_markup.html) . Just jump to the middle of the grid and then start slowing scrolling up. Watch the top record on each scroll. The grid will hesitate and then the top item will jump to someplace new when the DataGrid? pages.

If I don't misunderstand, this issue only occurs when scrolling up and Grid fetched new page of rows, once the fetched page(rows) finish rendered, the row position is jumped.

This is due to the lazy loading mechanism of Grid, Grid first uses a empty page to fill up the viewport, once data are back, they are used to fill up the empty page - since the page size is changed, row positions are not consistent any more.

May be addressed in Grid 2.0 thread(#11903)
