#679 closed defect (fixed)

TabContainer / spurious scrollbar (FF)

Reported by: riley.ross@… Owned by: bill
Priority: high Milestone:
Component: Widgets Version: 0.2
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:

Description

Since the nightly of 23rd April 2006 the content panes that are inside of the tab container have not been sizing correctly. This seems to affect rendering in two ways.

Firstly scrollbars are appearing on the content panes as can be seen in the nightly tests (http://archive.dojotoolkit.org/nightly/tests/widget/test_TabContainer.html)

Secondly any Tab container that does not have an explicit height is not stretching to fit the internal content and additionally a tab container with no specific height declared will float outside of it's containing block. Specifying a height for the tab container fixes this problem but obviously then the container will not stretch depending on the height of its internal content.

Summary: Incorrect sizing of contentPane within Tab ContainerTabContainer / spurious scrollbar (FF)

You need to specify the height for TabContainers?; that's just the way they are designed. Also, the scrollbar problem only happens on Firefox (well, it doesn't happen on IE anyway). Changing title to reflect this...

Fixed in rev 3989.

By the way, note that dojoTabPaneWrapper *shouldn't* have padding set because the padding will indent the scrollbars and make the tabs look funny. Rather, you should set padding on the individual tab panes, by adjusting the CSS for dojoTabPane.
