InlineEditBox:confusing hover cursor

Description (last modified by bill)

  • Problem: when user hovers over the editable text field, the hand cursor displayed implies user is clicking on a link; this is not the case.
  • Recommendation: Use an I-beam cursor rather than a hand cursor when a user mouse overs an editable text fields that has no physical entry field visible until the user clicks on the text string to enable the edit functionality. (see recommended style specs)
.tundra .dijitClickableRegion {
	background-color : #e2ebf2 !important;
	cursor:text;
}

Strangely dijitClickableRegion is defined in TitlePane?.css but apparently only used for InlineEditBox. I.e. it isn't even used for TitlePane.

(In [13432]) InlineEditBox? look and feel:

  • use gray rather than yellow for hover color since yellow indicates an alert (fixes #6622)
  • use a I-beam cursor rather than a hand since hand implies you are clicking a link (fixes #6623)
