Description
At least one user didn't realize that you could scroll through the years of a calendar by holding down the mouse over the next year, rather than clicking over and over again. It makes me think that the next/previous year should have arrows rather than being listed as 2007 and 2009.
If there's general agreement then let's change it.
Obviously there's a lot of debate about the calendar widget, with possible enhancements including having drop downs for month/year, etc., but this is a more practical change that can be done quickly.

I mailed Julie about this a long time ago but never got a response.
It's certainly possible people wouldn't expect a change, although OTOH it might make it more obvious that you could scroll by holding down the mouse (or by a long touch).
Anyway, I [temporarily] removed the typematic behavior in the CalendarLite refactor so that would need to go back in first. I might reconsider that change for 1.7 as it is now hard to scroll back a number of years.

Not much point in switching this for 1.x, and in 2.0 the Calendar is likely to be very different (like spinwheels), so closing this ticket.
well, we've been living with this design a while, so people might also expect it to stay the way it is. I suppose a compromise would be to add small arrows on the outside of the years
