#5593 closed defect (fixed)

Window Eyes 6.1 does not report toggle button state

Component: Accessibility Version: 1.0

Description

On FF2 and FF3, Windows Eyes 6.1 does not report the pressed state of a toggle button either when the button is focused or when its state is changed.

On FF2, JAWS 8.0 reports the pressed state when the button receives focus but it does not report state changes.

On FF3, JAWS 8.0 reports the pressed state both on focus and on state change.

On FF3, the Inspect and AccEvent tools report problems with the role: Role="button" [ BUG? State/Role? should not be a string ].

On FF3, AccEvent reports state change events:

OBJ_STATECHANGE Name="Toggle me" Role="button" [ BUG? State/Role? should not be a string ] State=focused,pressed,focusable

There are no STATECHANGE events reported for FF2 (this would explain the difference between FF2 and FF3 with JAWS).

(In [12437]) refs #5593 added postCreate to toggleButton to initially set the pressed state. It was getting set when true but not initially set to false.

Mozilla bug is fixed and dojo is properly setting the pressed state so there are no further changes to be made on the dojo side.
