ContentPane cannot use toggleShowing()

Description

I have just installed the dojo0.9.0beta version and tested on the dijit ContentPane?. What I found is that the function toggleShowing() provided by dijit.base.Showable is removed. Actually the whole dijit/base directory is removed too.

I want to know what the Dojo Team consider in releasing new version. As I remember, the message in mailing list said that the API will not change after the release of 0.9M2. That's why I start to use 0.9M2, but the fact is not as that. I understand there are still many things being improved, but should there be some messages telling people what is changing.

Thanks for the attention.

Hi, sorry about that. I don't remember what we said for M2; probably that the API for dojo core was complete, which wasn't exactly true either, but anyway, planning to stabilize all the Dijit API for the official 0.9 release. In other words unfortunately some things will change between beta and production. I guess you are asking for release notes between beta and production. OK, I will try to do that.

Thanks for the reply. But what will the team do on re-enabling the function of toggleShowing()

Not planning to support toggleShowing(). You can manipulate the domNode directly using dojo.fadeIn etc., and also Alex said he was going to check in a toggle animation. I filed bug #3641 to remind him.
