#3360 closed defect (fixed)

minor tundra nits: buttons, calendars, highlight colors, font sizes

Reported by: alex Owned by: bill
Priority: high Milestone: 0.9beta
Component: Dijit Version: 0.9

Description

there's some nit-picky stuff that looks a bit whack curently:

  • tundra buttons have a weird pseudo-3d border
  • there's no space to breathe in the calendar date formatting. the font is also too small
  • highlight colors are blue-ish. Shouldn't they be a more saturated version of the grey hue we're using elsewhere?

(In [9031]) webkit can actually round things w/o bleeding backgrounds and changing offsets so only use rounded borders there. Refs #3360

comment:4 Changed 12 years ago by alex

(In [9066]) fixing a raft of style nits. Particularly:

  • popup menu colors and borders
  • depressed button borders
  • inline edit box borders (they probably shouldn't have had borders)
  • inline edit box input styling
  • background color selection for popup menus until the real design is implemented
  • minor cleanup on tooltip css
  • removing some weird rules that we don't need
  • consolidating rules in some places, particularly for borders
  • ensuring that title pane headers look like they're clickable

There's still a lot wrong, particularly with inputs, calendars, and inline edit boxes, but some of that's going to need hacking on the widgets themselves.

(In [9214]) commenting out the images which didn't have any src attached because they caused weird phantom borders on IE and Safari which could absolutely not be removed. Calendars now actually *look right* on all browsers. Refs #3360

Making popup closing asynchronous is complicated and isn't suitable to a quick fix like this.
