Editor focus in IE

Description

In firefox, an empty Editor can receive focus by clicking anywhere within a textarea. In IE, one must explicitly click on the first line of the textarea (immediately below the button bar) for the Editor to receive focus. This makes the Editor difficult to use by our customers with IE.

I am creating the textarea first and wrapping the editor around it. (Using JSF / Facelets, Dojo version 0.4.1):

<h:inputTextarea id="messageBody"
   value="#{messageManager.currentMessage.body}"
   required="true">
</h:inputTextarea>
<f:verbatim>
   <script type="text/javascript">
   <!--
      dojo.require("dojo.widget.*");
      dojo.require("dojo.event.*");
      var editorArgs = {
         toolbarTemplatePath: "/fsi-admin/templates/EditorToolbarOneline-fsi.html",
         shareToolbar: "false",
         height: "235px"
      };
      var textarea = dojo.byId("newcontainerview:messageform:messageBody");
      var editor = dojo.widget.createWidget("Editor2", editorArgs, textarea);
   //--></script>
</f:verbatim>
