Component: WidgetsEditor
Owner: changed from bill to liucougar

add width=100% for the table in the toolbar template

does that work for you?

(I do not have IE7 installed)

the only effect it had is that buttons would be distributed evently through the toolbar. if there's a lot of blank space they would be further apart, instead of next to each other.

you can try this: to test dojo in IE7 without installing it

thanks for that info

I found that, if you modify the content of the editor, the toolbar will behave correctly

seems an IE 7 bug

well, toolbar seems to become better when editor receive focus. it's still not correct. the editor frame collapses to fit inside IE window, while toolbar sticks out of it.

I think the best behavior would be if the editor wouldn't get narrower then it can to show all toolbar buttons, otherwise there will be no scrollbar to access buttons that stick outside.

it could be an IE bug, but that doesn't make it any easier for the end-user. it should be addressed somehow.

have a look at the fckstyle toolbar, it behaves as you expect

and when you find out what the necessary changes we have to make in the default template to have it working correctly in IE 7, please attach a patch to this. I tried but of no avail.

punt to 0.5 (if a patch is provided before that, I can include it in 0.4.1)

are you talking about FCKeditor? they are using table instead of divs. the problem with tables is that in IE strict mode height attribute for rows becomes limited. I'll try to see if I can fix it.

no, what I am talking about is this:

oh cool. are you going to make it part of dojo at some point?
