Tooltip widget crashes Firefox 1.5 & 2.0 on Windows XP

Description

The following test page crashed Firefox 1.5 and 2.0, but only on Windows XP. I have confirmed this on multiple computers.

http://archive.dojotoolkit.org/nightly/tests/widget/test_Tooltip.html

It works fine in IE, and on other OSs besides Windows. I tried working around it by doing a custom build that includes Tooltip, but it still crashes... so I'm guessing the bug is in something other than FFs handling of XHR.

ADDITIONAL INFO

  • It only happens when viewing on a webserver, not off the filesystem. If I view the same file from my Apache root and from the filesystem (from file://C:/... and http://localhost) it only crashes on the http one. Even though it's the exact same file and there's (obviously) no network latency.
  • The problem still occured after I cleared out my cache, application data folder, and disabled all plugins.
  • The problem did not happen for the #dojo channel's very charming liucougar; however, others in the channel were able to confirm. Although it probably doesn't matter, liucougar was using the Chinese version of WindowsXP and FF.

(In [6559]) Fixes #1892. This is a mozilla bug when your page contains large images, fixed in FF 3.0, that we have a workaround for, in the delayMozLoadingFix flag.
