Resizing browser window causes dojox.image.Lightbox to flicker erratically

Description

I had hoped that #18253 would fix this, but it still occurs.

Here's what you need to do to reproduce:

  • Open dojox/image/tests/test_Lightbox.html in a desktop browser (I used Chrome 40.0.2214.111 m on Windows 7)
  • Bring up a lightbox image, e.g. click on "tall", or "4:3 image"
  • Slowly resize window by gradually making it smaller
  • As soon as the window gets too small for the lightbox widget the lightbox widget disappears, or it starts resizing erratically.

The original size of the image matters. If you load one of the Oversized images, e.g. "super tall image", resizing the windows causes problems immediately.

Basically, if the window is wider and taller than the image, there's no problem. As soon as the window becomes too small for the image, you get the erratic flickering effect as you resize.

What I would like to see is the image smoothly get smaller such that the Lightbox still fits in the window, as you resize the window below the original image size. If memory serves me right I think this is how it used to work.
