Description (last modified by bill)

Environment: Browser: IE9 Locale: Hebrew, Arabic (RTL locales)

When the validationTextBox gets the focus the blinking cursor is missing on IE9 in RTL locales. For simple text box I can see a blinking cursor in bidi locale on IE9 but not for validationTextBox.

Technically, Hebrew and Arabic are not "bi-directional" locales. They only go in one direction: from right to left.

Anyway, I can reproduce the problem (on IE9) on test_validate.html?dir=rtl, on the "Age" field. It's not a regression: it doesn't work in 1.6, 1.7, or 1.8 either.

So, that means its the problem with validationTextBox on IE9. Any workaround or fixes for this issue?

This is fixed in IE10. I reproduced it on IE8 dojo version 1.8.3 running test_validate.html?dir=rtl, and saw that it worked in IE10. I think that's good enough.
