Note that a resize event will "fix" the scroll bar. It just loads funny.

If it turns out I'm just doing something stupid, please forgive the bug report.

Hmm, so on page load, before the widgets are instantiated, there's a scrollbar. Thus the width of the usable part of the screen is calculated at (for example) 1003px instead of 1020px. But then once the BorderContainer is instantiated, the page's vertical scrollbar is no longer necessary, and it disappears, hence leaving that gap.

So I think the solution is for you to have overflow:hidden specified on your HTML node. Can you try that?
