Calendar: provide a mechanism to make the control disabled/read-only

Description

in certain situations, the Calendar control should

  • not be editable (for example it could be greyed out with zero or one selected date that can not be changed).
  • be disabled (based on some external conditions)

Hmm, it's true that although you can disabled individual dates, you can't disable or set read-only on the whole Calendar. However, you can on a DateTextBox.

I haven't heard any other requests for this feature, but if you (or someone) wants to provide a patch I'd definitely take a look. Probably it would mainly require theme work, to make the Calendar look disabled.

As a user, I do not want to be forced to use a DateTextBox. I would like to be able to use the calendar control just like any other. All controls have this "readonly/disable" option, therefore , as a user, I am expecting this control to to have the same capabilities. There should be no question about the fact that this control needs to be updated. Thank you.
