#14665 closed defect (fixed)

dojox/embed/Quicktime Clobbers Page

Reported by: David Walsh Owned by: Tom Trenka
Priority: undecided Milestone: 1.8
Component: Dojox Version: 1.7.1

Blocked By: Blocking:

Description

When using dojox/embed/Quicktime, the document.write statement toward the end of the resource clobbers the page. A simple use case can be seen here:

http://staging.dojotoolkit.org/documentation/tutorials/1.7/embedding_objects/demo/object.html

No combination of using AMD vs. dojo.require, parseOnLoad vs. parser, seems to fix this issue.

A gross hack of setting window.onload (or use dojo/on) to then do the require to get dojox/embed/Quicktime works, but it's a bit hacky :(

In [27762]:

Fix the AMD patch for Quicktime and remove the initialization branch that was looking to see if we were working before domReady; convert the QT test to async and add in the sample that seemed to have been missed from the submitted patch from Colin. Refs #14665 !strict
