Description
It would be nice if the website would go into a public repository (here in the svn, or e.g. within a site like github or similar).
This would be more "open" and it would become easier for interested parties to contribute.
If the website would use a bit more dojo itself (example: dijit.Tree for navigation), it would become additionally a "live" demo.

With "public repo" I meant of course a read only repo. So one could clone a repository, make some changes, and say "look here, if you like them use them" - just the open-source way.
But I think I understand your points subjecting "surprise" and a "small team". I am seriously interested - although I'll loose me best ability soon, as I become more familiar with your tools.
dijit.Tree was just an example. I like the design of dojotoolkit.org very much - it just needs a faster navigation (example for very fast navigation without tree: http://www.oracle.com )

I'm closing this one... if you want to get involved with making the Dojo site better, and you have a CLA on file, please contact me (I'm easy to find), and we can talk and see how we can get you involved with the web site team. Fair enough?
The contrary opinion to this is that we generally consider the web site to be marketing, and good marketing is achieved by having a coherent element of surprise.
I believe a better approach would be to get people that are seriously interested in working on the web site together as part of a small team, and make sure that team has access to the repo, and can work on it, while understanding the overall goals for the site.
Regarding the tree, I know I'm not particularly fond of the tree metaphor in general, but overall, all UI and design decisions are run through itorrey as he's the defacto design/branding Dojo mobile owner.
