Dijit TreeSelect contribution

Description

I'm developing a dijit for a customer which showed interest in it being contributed to Dojo.

The TreeSelect? is an extension of a dijit.form.Select which implements a dijit.Tree as a popup

Dylan requested a patch against dojox and while discussing the issue on #dojo, dojo developers suggested (at least for now) keeping the code on a separate namespace and on a public repo as the dojox namespace is getting "crowded".

I have the code on :

https://github.com/zemanel/Dijit-TreeSelect

and hosted on http://exia.maybeitworks.com/Dijit-TreeSelect/Static/index.html

More information is on the README file

I've refactored the widget to the dojox namespace per request. I've also separated a CSS file and test files (HTML and JS separately).

The test is basically the demo code that i previously had. Loading it on the browser loads the widget and associated popup tree but expading folder nodes isn't working.

I would appreciate feedback, when possible. I'm still evolving as a Dojo developer and would like to improve it and also continue the work on a FilteringSelect? style version, as there was interest in it.

This would unfortunately need to be revisited given that the patch has sat around for 5 years. If there's still interest in this, please create a new pull request and we'll consider for 1.12. Closing as patchwelcome for now.
