Testing Type: Memory leaks

Widget: dijit.Tree

Short description: Memory level increases when using expand and collapse buttons. Reload the page memory level keeps higher.

Browsers affected: Chrome 5

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open the file dojo-release-1.5.0/dijit/tests/test_Tree.html with Chrome 5
  2. Start the process explorer or another tool to monitor the memory used by the browser
  3. Click on Europe expand button on rootless section
  4. Click on Europe collapse button on rootless section.
  5. Repeat steps two and three 107 times.
  6. Press F5 or reload the page.

Actual Result: Memory level is not reduced after you refresh the page

Expected Result: Memory level should get reduced when you refresh

This issue described above is related with the garbage collector in chrome, not a dojo issue, the memory is not released immediately, it is released after some time when the garbage collector is executed by chrome. Please close it.
