Summary: Strange line through menus in Safari 4 RTLMenu: unwanted border between MenuItem label and arrow icon (webkit, RTL)

That's a weird one, especially how it only shows up in the drop down menus and not the vertical menu in test_Menu.html?dir=rtl.

I traced through what was causing the problem... apparently it's a webkit rendering bug, webkit has problems with colspan=2 on the menu label. The Menu label is colspan=2 except when an accelerator key is specified, in which case it's colspan=1. Actually in test_Menu.html?dir=rtl you can see that the problem doesn't happen on the Edit drop-down Menu.

I don't see a way to fix this. Probably best just to wait until the browser bug is fixed, as it isn't a severe problem.
