Agreed, this is complicated to fix though since Tooltip monitors for the onblur/onmouseleave events and apparently neither of them occur in cases like this, when the node (or it's parent) suddenly become display: none.

I'm unclear why you parent dialog "comes down" while the user is busy typing into a ValidationTextBox, can you attach a test case?

    1 I have a tooltip dialog, and within that I have ValidationTextBoxes. If I have a promptMessage or invalidMessage (really a tooltip) up, and my parent dialog comes down, the message tooltips stay up. It should be implicit, that when the parent dialog is hidden, that the child tooltips come down. I have hacked a few things in to get around this, but it would be nice if the parent tooltip took care of this.
